Review - Red Carpet Princess dress from Pretend To Bee

Like most young girls, The Princess loves dressing up.  Sometimes as a character from a book, sometimes a rabbit or a cat, a pirate or a clown, but quite often as a princess.  So when Pretend To Bee offered to send us their Red Carpet Princess dress to review I knew she’d be excited!

Pretend To Bee is a family run business who have been selling fancy dress costumes online since 2005.

The dress arrived very nicely packaged inside a sturdy box and on a padded hanger.  There were no creases so the dress could be worn straight away.  The organza fabric appeared to be of good quality and the dress looked well made, with no loose stitching.  The straps were adorned with silver sequins and the back of the bodice was made from a velvety fabric.  There was a hoop at the bottom of the dress to create a fuller looking skirt and an organza bow at one side.

The Princess really enjoyed dressing up in this.  She says “The silver sparkles look really pretty at the top and I like the velvet bit at the back, it’s so soft.  The dress fits just right and it looks beautiful”.  In fact, she even insisted on wearing it first thing one morning for breakfast!

I opted for the size 5-7 years as The Princess is 7 but quite petite for her age.  It fit perfectly as the waist is elasticated and there is a slight stretch in the bodice.  There are velcro fastenings at the back to make it easy for children to put on themselves, but they do fasten quite securely so you can't see the velcro.

It would make a lovely addition to any little girl’s dressing up box, or an ideal costume for a fancy dress party.  For more information visit Pretend To Bee's website.
