The highlights of our Butlins break at Bognor Regis

34

When we heard Butlins were searching for blogging families who would really make the most of their time at a Butlins resort and write about their experiences, we knew we were up to that challengeWe definitely did make the most of our break, in fact there were quite a few things we didn't manage to fit in this time as we were always so busy, heading straight from one activity to another.  The great thing is, we were able to download an activity planner from the Butlins website so we had a good idea of what we'd like to do before we even arrived.  The children had great fun on Sunday afternoon, highlighting everything they'd like to do in the week ahead.

We arrived just after 12pm at the Shoreline Hotel and were impressed to hear our room was ready and we could check in straight away (guests are welcome on site from 12 but rooms are not normally ready until 3pm).  So, we headed straight to our room - a Nelson State Room on the third floor - and settled ourselves in.  The kids explored the room and tried out the telescope!

After we'd unpacked we decided to have a wonder around the resort.  Inside the Skyline Pavilion were arcade games galore!  The Pickle saw the Angry Birds Star Wars claw machine and Daddy thought he'd try his luck at winning one... and after 32 years of practicing for this moment he finally managed it!

After the first day full of fun, the rest of the holiday did not disappoint.  There was so much to do and I have so much to write about that I'm going to split it into several posts which I'll link here over the next few days:

The real cost of a Butlins holiday - Is it worth it?  Plus money saving tips for your trip!

But for now, here are some of our favourite moments from the week...

Trying lots of different flavours of ice cream at Scoop!

The Princess having a go at Archery.

Being able to use our dining plan vouchers to order pizza from Papa Johns and enjoying a takeaway and dvd evening in our room.

Meeting the Skyline Gang!

Even the tooth fairy visited us at Butlins.

Being entertained by the amazing Redcoats while we were queuing for the shows.  George and Ashley sat down to play Angry Birds with The Princess and The Pickle!

Watching Scooby Doo - something The Pickle really enjoyed and is still talking about.

Another show, Dick V Dom, and yes that's me up there on stage (which the kids - and husband - found highly amusing!)

The legend that is Titan the Robot.  We think he's pretty awesome!

The amazing food and desserts we enjoyed.

Splashing in the sea.  The dull weather certainly didn't spoil our fun!

Enjoying family time together, playing bowling.

Lots of laughter.

The sound of waves and seagulls and the gorgeous view from our balcony.

A good night's sleep at the end of each day.

This was our first family holiday together and we left the resort feeling very proud to be ambassadors and would highly recommend Butlins to other families.  Thank you Butlins for the great memories and we hope to visit again soon!

We were invited to stay on a 4 night break at Butlins as part of my role as a Butlins Ambassador.  All opinions are my own.  You can click on the badge above to see the other ambassadors and their reviews.
